I started out sewing on my grandmothers 1970s Kenmore sewing machine. My first purchase was a Janome 2212. While this machine was great, I wanted a few more bells and whistles, like a wider throat space, speed control and the ability to move my needle. Then I purchased a Janome 6700p which I LOVE. I was a Janome Maker for a few years and was able to sew on the Janome M7, which is also a great sewing machine. The 3160QDC is also a great machine for beginners and advanced sewists alike. It has speed control, a drop in bobbin and the ability to move the needle the left and right. All of these machines are worth looking into!

Tech Help
We get it! Printers issues can be frustrating. Here are some helpful solutions to the most common PDF document printing issues:
•Verify the PDF has fully downloaded prior to printing.
•Verify you have the latest print driver (the program that controls your printer) installed on your printer. Printer manufacturers periodically offer updated drivers to improve the compatibility of their printers with newer software and apps. This can be especially helpful if your printer is more than a year old. Update your driver by following these steps:
- Find your printer model number.
- Go to the manufacturer's website, and browse or search for drivers or printer drivers.
- Find the correct driver for your model number.
- Download and install the printer driver, according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Restart your computer.
•If possible, try printing from a different printer.
•Print as an Image - found under Advanced settings. Printing as an image avoids printer memory limits that can occur with some PDF files.
•Download the PDF again directly to your hard drive.
•Create a copy of the PDF using the Save As command.
•Restart your computer.
•Use the latest version of Acrobat Reader to open and print the PDF.

Although all printers work a little differently here are the most common issues and fixes. These print options may be found under the "Advanced" Printer settings/options:
- Be sure "Fit to Printable Area" is selected
- Print Scale is set to 100%
- Uncheck "shrink to printable area"
- Verify the selected paper size in settings is the same size as the paper being used.
PDF Patterns are automatically emailed to you after checkout. It is important that your email address is without typos so that we make sure we're sending it to the right place. Be sure to check your Promotions/Spam/Junk folders as sometimes the pattern will end up there. If you are still having trouble finding your pattern, please email us at hello@loandbeholdstitchery.com and we're happy to help!
Our quilt patterns come in a wide variety of sizes typically ranging from baby size through bed size so there are a lot of options to choose from. If you'd like to make a custom size the easiest patterns to do this with are block based and you would add or remove blocks to get as close as possible to your desired size. The following patterns are block based: Christmas Joy, Shades of Citrus, Snow Cabin, Mountain Horizon, First Gift, Triangle Fade, Retro Ornaments, Metamorphosis, Rhythm, Nightingale, Celtic Crossing 2.0, Heirloom Hearts, Summer Pop, Mosaic Star, and Granny Patch.
You may sell quilts that you create using Lo & Behold Patterns on a personal/non-commercial scale. Design must be credited to Lo & Behold Stitchery.
We try to list the fabrics used in a few differently places. You can usually find them listed in our blog posts and they are also included in patterns and quilt kits.
shipping
We package in stock orders daily and are usually able to fill orders within 2-3 business days. We use USPS for all shipping. You will receive a tracking number via email when your order ships so you can check shipping updates anytime online. If you are a U.S. customer your order will likely arrive within 5-8 business days of shipping confirmation; and many arrive sooner. Timing may vary due to market conditions.
If you place an order that includes a "PREORDER" item(s) all items will be shipped together once the "PREORDER" item(s) becomes available. Estimated time frames are included in "PREORDER" product listings. If you would like to receive available items more quickly please place a separate order for the "PREORDER" items.
For our international customers orders can take anywhere from 4 - 8 weeks to arrive depending on how quickly your order is received and processed by your country's customs. Customers are responsible for paying any necessary duties, customs or fees after the package ships. It is the responsibility of the customer to follow the tracking number and correspond with the necessary shipping office for that information.
USPS policy requires an 8 week wait prior to reporting any package as "lost".
Shopping
To provide you the most flexibility patterns are not included with quilt kits. We continually add new kits to the shop and customers may already own the pattern (or purchase multiple kits). Selling the pattern separately ensures you only pay for it if you need it!
I'm someone who LOVES to have options and that is sometimes reflected in our quilt patterns.
Patterns that have a "Modern" and "Traditional" option simply refers to the amount of fabrics that are used in the quilt. This is always reflected in the Fabric Requirements section, and sometimes it requires different Cutting and Sewing Instructions as well. If a pattern includes both Modern and Traditional options, they're all included in the same pattern so be on the look out for that distinction!
We only sell yardage in person at our Open Houses. All quilt kits, fabric bundles and backings are pre-cut but we are happy to share fabric names if you want to shop for yardage of specific fabrics elsewhere.
