Ya'll, this pattern has me SO smitten!
Vintage Lace is inspired by the beautiful intricacies of an old piece of lace. This design is delicate, dainty and feminine... which I love! The symmetry also reminds me of a Valentine's Day doily, hence the February 14th release. :)

Vintage Lace is for the confident beginner who feels comfortable with lots of half square triangles. The pattern is easy to follow with a super rewarding finish. Choose from three sizes: Baby (48" x 48"), Throw (72" x 72") and Bed (108" x 108").

If ya'll know me, you know that I like to include alternate color-way ideas in my patterns. This one was no exception! I am a HUGE fan of two color quilts, so I always like to make two-color versions of my designs. I love the classic and simple look that this gives!

I intentionally used the same two colors for this quilt as I did for my husband's Interwoven quilt (Robert Kaufman Kona Cotton, Doeskin and Snow). I figured that if I did end up keeping it for myself, it'd be cool for our quilts to match! These two colors are my go-to neutrals and I love how they look in our house! I decided to use a subtle pink (Kona Lingerie) for the backing which gives the quilt a calming vibe.

Jess (Threaded Quilting) did the quilting for this quilt...isn't it great?!

The binding is one of my favorite neutrals, Kona Leather. I went back and forth about what color thread I should use for my binding, but I finally landed on this yummy bordeaux color.

For my modern version, since I knew I wanted to release this pattern on Valentines Day, I wanted to use a few different shades of pink. I love how the yellowish browns help tone down the pinks. It's not too "IN YOUR FACE", which I like. I had this quilt quilted at Cary Quilting Company...a local fabric shop that I love!

I also used Robert Kaufman Kona Solids for my modern version. In order from Color 1-7, they are: Bordeaux (my favorite!), Valentine, Camellia, Dusty Peach, Grellow, Leather, Yarrow and my background is (always) Snow.
.
We snagged some quilt photos under the most gorgeous Spanish Moss trees in Savannah, Georgia a few weeks ago. I couldn't resist the drape-y moss mixed with the delicate design of this quilt....it all felt so romantic and dreamy!

I am so smitten with this design, and I already have several versions planned!

I also created this two-color Vintage Lace as a custom quilt. I love how it turned out! And Jess nailed the quilting (yet again!)
