Homecoming Quilt- My Peppered Cotton version & tester quilts!

Homecoming quilt pattern is finally available!

This pattern is so fun and versatile...I loved making this design over and over! I will say: I do mostly gravitate towards warm colors....peaches, pinks, golds. Gosh, those colors have my heart! Every once in a while, I try to be really intentional and try something new. It's hard....but I make it work! haha. 

When I saw Cottoneer's new Peppered Cottons, I was immediately struck with not only how gorgeous the colors are, but also how unique the texture is!

If you're new to Peppered Cottons, they are yarn dyed shot cottons, meaning that the warp and weft are two different colors. When they are woven together, they create a beautiful, unique mix of color. Ever since my Ombre Retro Ornaments quilt (which you can read about here), I've been slightly obsessed with using different textures in my quilt!. These were such a nice change of pace. I love how they are home-y and kind of vintage looking.

I chose Oyster as the Background, then Pepper, Rust, Seaglass and Peacock as my four colors.

For my backing, I used Backroads Umber by Bonnie Christine. ( I love this print!) And for my binding, I used Wondering with Doe by Bonnie Christine as well. This is such a good stripe.

I made a baby size, but Cottoneer will be kitting a Throw size! The kits are currently available for preorder.

This quilt would DEFINITELY not be possible without the help of my amazing pattern testers! Seriously, ya'll. I went through so many versions of this pattern. They stuck with me, though! Erin, of @lovesewmodern, made a super striking, almost electric throw size quilt! She's feeling the non-traditional backgrounds just like I am. ;)

Cat of @workinghandsstudio made this stunning quilt! Aren't those blues so fun against the dark background??

Steph from @beansy_quilts  created this gorgeous throw size Homecoming! Her quilting adds so much yummy texture, as always. I love it!

Claire, of @thestitchsaloon, made this dreamy baby quilt using Kona Seafoam. And how pretty is her hand quilting? Love it!

Sarah of @stitchmodequilts killed it with her quilt! I mean just look at these colors paired with that quilting. So good!

Brittany aka, @hopscotchcotton, did such a gorgeous job with her throw size Homecoming. Seriously...I'm swooning!

Katie of @katesmakesandcreates created such a modern and bold Homecoming throw. Again, the darker background just gets me!

 Kathryn of @kathart0 created a STUNNING version of the Bed size Homecoming. She added some extra colors in here and it's genius! P.S. This is how the Bed size quilt looks on a queen bed.

Elizabeth of @elizabethbolten, used a small-scale floral as her background...it looks so good! I love how this turned out.

Laura aka, @finleyfabric used Kona Enchanted as her background in her Throw size Homecoming quilt. This is seriously breathtaking!!

Kerri of @12.smith.kerri made this bed size Homecoming quilt out of such gorgeous blues! It's so calming!

Emily of @lemonyquilts made this adorable baby Homecoming quilt! Isn't it sweet??
